Eight years in the US Navy Construction Battalion (Seabees), and over fifteen years of experience on design/build projects on various governmental, US Postal Services (North and South Carolina) and Corp. of Engineers design/build contracts. Five years in Property Management. • Experience in the implementation of project-specific Environmental Protection Plans, Quality Control Plans, Accident Prevention Plans and Activity Hazard Analyzes. • Possess extensive knowledge of all construction trades and is adept in the supervision and coordination of large and diverse teams of subcontractors and in-house personnel. • Estimated using RS Means and Progen. • Worked closely with government personnel and building occupants for access, utility outages, road closures, storage, and safety in order to limit disruption to on-going activities during the construction progress. • Received materials at the work site and visually inspected for damage, compliance to task order requirements and quantity; ensuring that materials not immediately incorporated in the work are properly labeled and stored. • Certified that all construction activities were performed per specifications, drawings, scope of work and ensured that all work was done safely using the Corp. of Engineers EM-385. • Write contracts, schedules and budgets using MS Word, MS Excel and MS Projects. • Trained in the US Navy in all construction aspects (Industrial Safety Supervisor Training, Leadership Training level 1,2,3 for E-4, E-5 and E-6, Paint & Preservation, Light-Frame Construction, Camp Maintenance (Building & Facilities Maintenance), Multi-discipline education of builder trades (academic and hands-on-training), Site Work, Concrete, Masonry, Carpentry, Sheet Metal, Roofing, Doors/Windows, Exterior/Interior Finishes).
