I'm an author, most recently of a YA novel called The Headmasters (Shadowpaw Press) as well as four nonfiction books, 50+ articles for Gastronomica: The Journal of Food and Culture (University of California Press), and 100+ columns for CBC Radio One. After compleing my PhD in Early Modern Literature at the University of Toronto in 1992, I taught at the University of Winnipeg for twelve years and then moved to the University of Waterloo.
