About Mark Muller

I have extensive experience teaching in a variety of contexts. Currently I am Head of Department for Information Technology and Computer Applications Technology at St Andrew's College, Makhanda (Grahamstown). While I currently teach ICT subjects I have also taught classes in English, Mathematics and Technology. From 2003 to 2021 I was Network Administrator at St Michael's where I managed and implemented the transformation of the school from an institution with basic computer facilities to one that integrates IT in all aspects of education. This included developing the supporting infrastructure, as well as planning, purchasing, installing, and managing the equipment and software needed for specific educational needs. I also provided training for staff and learners to help them use the software and hardware facilities - an essential part of the process. I take pride in delivering effective teaching and assisting my colleagues to better utilise technology in enhancing their classes. Studies obtained- Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)(UNISA, 2016)- Masters Degree in English (UOVS, 2004) Thesis topic: Applied Linguistic Principals and developing Computer Assisted Language Learning Programmes for the English Second Language Classroom - Honours Degree in English (UOVS, 1993)- BA Degree (UOVS,1992)
