About Mark Neuert

I am a results-driven, service-oriented Professional Engineer with a strong data processing background, including data cleaning, statistical analysis, results visualizations, and client-focused calculation tool development utilizing Python, R, MATLAB, Excel, and VBA. I have extensive experience performing reliability analysis in the oil and gas transmission pipeline industry, and have implemented pipeline threat failure models described in industry recommended practices (e.g. API 579 and BS 7910) using Monte Carlo simulations, deterministic calculations, and finite element analysis to address pipeline integrity challenges. I have intimate knowledge of the PIRAMID pipeline reliability software through preparing and post-processing PIRAMID files, responding to client troubleshooting requests, performing reliability analyses, and leveraging industry data to develop client-specific reliability assessments. Through my academic and professional experiences, I have developed a strong background in finite element analysis (FEA), and have much experience performing non-linear analyses, implementing custom subroutines, and automating the pre- and post-processing of Abaqus FEA software files. Through presenting research at international conferences, I have developed the ability to deliver the results of complex technical topics using clear and concise communication in the form of report writing, PowerPoint presentations, and audio-visual media. This has required communicating with individuals of varied levels of expertise, from end-users and senior stakeholders. I can manage multi-disciplinary projects and navigate complex challenges.
