About Mark Nickel

I am the Professional Engineer at Delco Electric. I design electrical systems of a variety of design-build projects, including those in the commercial, educational, hospitality, and food retail spaces, ensuring designs meet appropriate standards and achieve client goals. I create electrical drawings including one-line diagrams, switchboard and panelboard schedules, site plans, power plans (receptacle, lighting, and mechanical), and detail drawings. While creating these drawings, I calculate voltage drop and conductor, conduit, fuse, transformer, ground wire, and circuit breaker sizes using NEC design standards. In addition to designing, I consult with colleagues regarding code questions, redesign drawings to match actual field conditions, and advise clients and/or general contractors.
