A Veterinary Epidemiologist and One Health (OH) expert with experience spanning over a decade. Special interest in high impact transboundary animal diseases (TADs), zoonotic diseases and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Experienced in supporting control and prevention of high impact transboundary animal diseases (TADs), endemic, emerging and re-emerging zoonotic diseases, AMR, antimicrobial use (AMU), strengthening one health multisectoral coordination mechanism, institutionalization and operationalization of one-health approach at country and regional level. Supported development and implementation of over 10 strategic and contingency plans for prevention and control of high impact TADs, endemic, emerging and re-emerging zoonotic diseases and AMR at national and regional level using a one health approach. Supported training and mentoring of frontline health personnel on field epidemiology techniques, TADs and zoonotic diseases surveillance, AMR and AMU surveillance, prioritization of zoonotic diseases (PZD), joint risk assessment (JRA), joint outbreak investigations, simulation exercises (SIMEX) and after action reviews (AARs). Published over 30 articles in peer reviewed journals on TADs and various one health topics.
