About Mark Odonnell

A leader and professional police detective investigator, with a history of achievement in the investigation of serious and serial crime; highly regarded as much for his commitment, investigative skill and professionalism as for my advanced level of skill at interview, overseeing of ‘evidence disclosure’ in serious crime trials and as a developer of people and good practice. Organised, proactive and computer-literate, have taken a lead in the management of numerous serious criminal investigations, representing GMP at Case Conferences and the effective ‘Disclosure of Evidence’ and maintaining the integrity of evidence as Exhibits Officer. An effective communicator in writing and orally and in a wide variety of situations; an effective and key member of any team, a regular and reliable volunteer accepting responsibility for essential tactical elements that help ensure achievement of goals whilst acting as a role model and coach for others. I enjoy a healthy and contented family life, establishing an effective work-life balance that has also resulted in an excellent attendance record. Highly regarded for my innovation, proactive responses, commitment and effectiveness in all I do, I now find myself reaching a milestone, reaching the final year of a 30 year career and wishes to apply my skill and commitment to a new venture.
