About Mark Ohare

Some of us will spend over a third of our lives at work, some of us even more. Somewhere along the line a lot of us have accepted that we don’t need to be happy whilst at work. I disagree. Family and Domestic Violence costs Australia alone billions of dollars a year, but even more horrific is the lives that are lost. With one woman a week on average killed in Australia by a current or former partner we have to take a stand and make a significant change. This is why I split my time across two exciting and such important roles in WA. I run Positive Place which is a unique business that supports small businesses to be the best they can be by creating, maintaining or boosting their positive workplace culture, employee engagement and overall workplace happiness and productivity. We do this through tailored workshops or individual programs. In my second role as Operations Manager for Stopping Family Violence ( ) I deliver training, inform policy, and engage in research which focuses on perpetrator response work and keeping women and children safe.
