About Mark Olsen

For over 14 years, I’ve worked extensively in the educational video space and love to be a part of an industry where hard work translates into a better, smarter, world.I have worked in a number of roles within the video production pipeline- As a Creative Director, I have lead a team of Motion Designers and Sound Designers, storyboarded and pitched designs to clients, created style guides, and worked with post-production teams to develop streamlined motion graphics templates- As a Director, I have overseen all areas of production, working with writers, talent, editors, and clients to ensure things run smoothly and are delivered on time- As a Videographer, I have shot in the studio and have traveled around the US and internationally to film on location- As an Editor, I have developed a deep technical knowledge of post-production software and hardware so that video and audio content is highly polished. In particular, I have experience with the Adobe Suite (After Effects, Audition, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Cinema 4D.Some other accomplishments that highlight my versatility include- Through my various roles at Complexly, I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects that have been viewed and enjoyed by more than 300 million people- I have earned several awards for my work including a Digital Media Award from the National Institute of Healthcare Management and a Webby Award- Clients include industry-leading companies including 20th Century Fox, Target, and Bloomingdales, and renowned institutions such as The American Academy of Pediatrics, The National Institutes of Health, and the Indiana University School of Medicine.
