About Mark Oreilly

I am focused on understanding current and future market and sector trends, understanding issues in a strategic context, and designing solutions to help meet those challenges. I am working extensively in the Further and Higher Education and HealthCare Sectors, across the UK, but have significant experience in infrastructure and economic development. I think most people would say I'm creative, if a little bit different. But that's ok. We can't all be the same. And it's true, I am different. I think differently. And that adds value to the creativity process, enabling me to come up with new ideas and approaches and to help my clients to develop new ways of doing things. I enjoy the challenge of problem solving, generating solutions and watching those ideas evolve and bear fruit. I am currently working extensively on regional skills strategy, apprenticeship levy preparations, employer-led curriculum development, and in helping FE providers to 'vision' their future, and develop the strategic and operational activities that will take them where they want to go. The Skills and Education sectors in England are going through the biggest restructuring in a generation, with changes in revenue, a transition to more work based learning and the aftermath of the area-based reviews. I am enjoying working with my FE and Skills sector clients, and large employers, in working through these issues and creating opportunities, which will have a real and positive legacy impact.
