About Mark Otter

Mark has over 25 years of testing experience both in Australia and the United Kingdom, his strengths are in testing capability set up and management, testing process and implementation of test strategies for large organisations and critical projects. At Infosys Mark leads the testing practice across the Retail, Energy, Utilities, and Public Sector domains and is responsible for the testing business and delivery, managing testing across the ANZ and APAC regions At Capgemini Mark led the Melbourne testing practice with over 150 testers in the group, with responsibility for testing strategy, professional development, resourcing of projects, leading sales and solution design for clients. Mark was also engaged to provide high level consultancy on testing strategy to some of Australia’s largest organisations including ME Bank, ANZ and Australia Post. At HCL Mark led the regional testing practice for the ANZ region, being responsible for some of the largest testing projects being undertaken in the country and developing new business for HCL in the testing service line. At Infosys Mark led a team of testing professionals delivering testing solutions for some of Australia’s largest organisations, Mark has been responsible for growing the testing organisation to a team of 100 testing professionals across a wide range of clients including banking and telecommunications At Sensis Mark managed testing across both online and core parts of the organisation, this included iconic digital brands such as Yellow & White pages & WhereIS. Mark’s experience spans both Agile and Traditional testing at an enterprise level. At EDS Mark played a key role in driving the creation of testing practices (both in Australia and regionally in Asia) where he was instrumental in gaining a CoE (Centre of Expertise) certification for the Australian testing centre, making it the regional testing hub for the APAC region.
