Demonstrated success as a training program, project manager, and problem solver with more than 25 years in the language teaching, technology, testing, and program administration / management field- M.A. in TESOL with 8 years of experience as an ESL / EFL instructor and administrator at colleges and universities in the U.S, South Korea, and the Middle East- Specialist in teaching academic study skills to high school and university students- Spent more than 3 years in the Middle East including 2 years at Bethlehem University in the West Bank as a State Dept. English Teaching Fellow- Served 1 year as the Academic Director of an English training program for the Royal Saudi Air Force in Dhahran managing more than 85 staff & instructors and more than 400 cadets- Served as the Command Language Program Manager (CLPM) for the West Coast Navy SEAL Teams (NSWG-1) for 8 years and received the Defense Language Institute Navy Command Language Program of the Year Award in 2003- Have spent the last 10 years working for defense firms as a business development specialist, products manager for a language technology company, a researcher, a training and project manager for the National Language Service Corps (NLSC), and as the aforementioned Academic Director in Saudi Arabia- Have worked as a proposal writer on several winning proposals and as the program manager of a DoD language training contract- Specialties include: Program & project management, experience managing a $1 million+ annual budged, training, testing & assessment, business development, training management, course & curriculum design, materials development, proposal writing, and academic tutoring- Also possess strong writing and public speaking skills (having presented at state, national, and international conferences) and editing skills in addition to proficiency with MS Office including Project and Access for data queries - Strong networking skills
