About Mark Pajot

Seasoned Climate Change Professional with over 20 years experience transitioning local government towards a low carbon and resilient future. Governments, businesses and citizens everywhere now recognize the urgency to act on climate change given the increasing evidence of observed impacts. As one of Canada's first climate change planners at the municipal level I am keenly aware of the significant challenges facing governments to adapt to and mitigate climate change. Good news is there are places (like Peel) that have built the infrastructure in Partnership through evidence to transform the way we approach the problem. I have had the privilege of working with strong local leaders to facilitate transformation in the Region of Peel in Partnership with Credit Valley Conservation, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, Cities of Mississauga and Brampton and Town of Caledon to address both the cause (greenhouse gases) and effects (impacts) of climate change. Climate change represents one of the most significant issue facing all of us. I am committed to continuing to work in partnership to explore solutions that enable us to reduce our vulnerability and transition to a low carbon economy.
