Mr. Palmer is the Chief Strategy Officer for Quility Holdings, overseeing corporate development, strategic direction and organizational alignment. Quility is a national technology and data enabled insurance product development, distribution and marketing organization. Mr. Palmer also is the Founder/Managing Director of Theseus Strategy Group, providing transaction coordination/structuring services, liability/crisis management and event-driven trading analyses in complex "Special Situations." For the 7 prior years, he was an Investment Partner for MatlinPatterson,$10+ billion global private equity franchise, responsible for structuring all transactions, targeted investments and liability/crisis management. For 13 years, he also was a Partner at Bracewell & Giuliani (Chair of the Private Investment Funds Practice/NY Corporate Head), as a Partner at Linklaters (US Corporate Head in New York) and as a Partner at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan (Corporate/Financial Restructuring). He represented private investment firms, financial institutions and corporations on M&A, governance, takeovers, JVs, investments and reorganizations. He began at Sullivan & Cromwell as a Corporate and M&A Associate. For 3 years, Mark was an entrepreneur/venture capitalist: EVP/co-founder at NextSet Software, Director of Strategic Transactions at Reuters/Reuters Venture Capital, and SVP/General Counsel for TIBCO Finance. Example representations include: WorldCom, Adelphia, SatMex, Ormet, Standard Pacifc, Varig, Oneida, Global Aviation/ATA. Board representations have included Global Aviation, Advantix, FXI and Crescent Communities and the Idearc and Boston Generating litigation trusts.
