About Mark Parrish

My technology career has evolved from hands-on development to technical leadership, giving me a well-rounded perspective across the full software development lifecycle. I began as a developer and progressed through lead developer and architect roles, building a strong technical foundation. Over time, I earned promotions through roles in project management and business analysis, which led to senior leadership positions and my current role as Application Development Engagement Manager. In my current position, I specialize in guiding clients through the complete project lifecycle, from presales discussions to successful delivery. I have extensive experience preparing Statements of Work (SOWs), developing accurate Level of Effort (LOE) estimates, and responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives. Working with our legal team, I assisted in creating and reviewing client contracts to support successful engagements and mitigate risk. Beyond project execution, I’m passionate about developing team members and cultivating a collaborative environment that drives individual team members growth, accountability, and high-quality results. Over the past five years, I have managed 3 to 5 concurrent projects across diverse industries including Healthcare, Scientific Research and Development, Banking, Real Estate, and Education Services. Our typical application development engagements generate annual billings ranging from one to six million dollars and focus on full-stack solutions delivered by cross-functional teams. I have intentionally maintained my technical expertise and frequently bill on projects not only as a delivery manager, but also as a project manager, architect, or designer, enabling me to stay actively involved in both the strategic and technical facets of the solution. One of our most significant accomplishments was building an Epic Healthcare consulting practice from the ground up. We scaled the team to 35 consultants and over $4 million in annual billings. Our team designed and optimized every aspect of the practice, including recruiting, hiring, offsite training, certification, and implementing the metrics and processes necessary to ensure our consultants thrived. While my career has progressed into leadership and delivery strategy, my hands-on passion for technology remains unchanged. I still enjoy programming, maintaining my personal website, and managing a home server that powers automation and local AI instances.
