About Mark Paton

First and foremost I'm a people person. To be the best team you need to know who the individuals are as people; what makes them tick, what they like and don't like, what their strengths are, and where they need guidance and support to be their best. Having a healthy dose of EQ helps see things from another's perspective, whether they be team members, or other stakeholders both inside and outside the business. And having empathy, building trust and rapport, are key to creating a great culture, driving performance and satisfaction. These qualities have helped me lead and support creative and marketing teams in particularly challenging times and environments; a team of healthcare marketers during a global pandemic; a studio of content creators during a financial downturn, when the parent company looked like it was in trouble. I'm also versatile and resilient with a 'roll your sleeves up' leadership style, adept at establishing and implementing strategic plans, and collaborating to achieve organisational objectives, growing businesses and demonstrating persistence and loyalty on the journey.
