Professionally, I have specialist skills and deep experience in 3 main areas: 1. Technology: Architecting, designing and building software platforms from concept stage using lean, agile design, development and continuous improvement methodologies 2. Consulting: Building and supporting internal and external teams to use design thinking and agile methodologies to architect, implement and integrate software products into customer and partner technology eco systems 3. Sales: Building sales systems, processes and teams to generate and qualify leads, conduct discovery workshops, build prototypes, do proof of concepts and pilots. Building partnerships to sell and integrate our software products as part of their broader offering. All the businesses I’ve founded have been focused on helping large, complex organisations in financial services, telecoms, utilities, retail & government sectors improve their customer & employee experiences by designing smart, trusted, integrated, user friendly, customer centric solutions. Check it out at https://clevva.com Personally, I was born, grew up and educated in South Africa, studying computer science before the internet and AI was a mega trend (how things have changed). I’ve spent most of my life combining my passions for designing and building software products and high performing teams with my love for my family, friends, partnerships, business, travel, adventure, endurance and team sport. I’ve completed 10 marathons, including the gruelling 89 km (55 mi) comrades marathon. I’ve toured, worked and lived in 26 countries across 4 continents including co-founding various software businesses in the UK & South Africa over the past 25 years. I also played a league winning season of semi professional rugby in Scotland in my early twenties. I’ve been married for 15 years to an amazing woman & have 2 wonderful children aged 12 & 14 that we have been world/home schooling for the past 5 years to prepare them for a world where AI Agents will be standard in the workplace & humans will need to be the creative problem solvers leveraging AI everywhere.
