About Mark Peil

I have worked as a Safety Coordinator, Shift Supervisor and Safety Superintendent in the manufacturing sector for the past six years. I have accumulated more than 17 years of experience as a Supervisor, Coordinator, Executive Officer, Manager, Senior Executive, an Instructor, a Graduate Student in English and History, and a Research Assistant. I have several years of experience in a supervisory and coordinator role and I have direct experience administering and applying safety programs to a wide variety of individuals and organizations. As a supervisor, I am well versed in legal and policy requirements of supervising groups up to 100 individuals, and completing daily, weekly and quarterly reports. I have in-depth experience with training workers for production and following up to ensure workers are efficient and safe in their assigned tasks. I have experience working with management and maintenance personnel to increase production efficiency and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed. As a the Superintendent of Health and Safety at Brink Forest Products I have working knowledge of OHS regulation and the challenges of combustible dust in manufacturing facilities. Additionally I am an OFA Level 3 First Aid Attendant and am well versed in incident investigation procedures, having my BCFSC Advance Investigations Certificate.
