About Mark Pertschuk

Mark Pertschuk is the Founder and Director of Grassroots Change and the Preemption Watch project. He is the former President and Executive Director of Americans for Nonsmokers’ Rights (ANR) and the American Nonsmokers’ Rights Foundation (ANRF). While at ANR, he managed grassroots campaigns for the airline smoking ban and state and local tobacco control laws in dozens of states. Mark was the Project Director for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s smokefree implementation projects GoingSmokefree.org & Developing Smokefree Implementation Regulations. Former Executive Director and co-founder of Californians for Responsible Gun Laws, a grassroots gun violence prevention organization that mobilized support for three major statewide gun control laws and more than 40 local ordinances in California.
