About Mark Pinkham

I am committed to delivering compassionate, high quality cancer care that supports each patient and their family throughout every stage of treatment.I am an experienced radiation oncologist consulting across Icon Cancer Centre locations in North Lakes, Auchenflower, Greenslopes, Herston (Gamma Knife) and St Vincent’s Northside. I also serve as Senior Staff Specialist and Director of Radiation Oncology Research at the Gamma Knife Centre of Queensland, Princess Alexandra Hospital. My clinical expertise includes Gamma Knife stereotactic radiosurgery, brain tumours, melanoma and advanced intracranial radiation techniques.Trained at the University of Oxford and The Christie Hospital (UK), I have completed additional advanced Gamma Knife training in Prague, Cleveland and at Yale. I hold professorial appointments at Flinders University and QUT, and contribute to medical education through postgraduate supervision and previous RANZCR examining roles.My research focuses on advancing treatment techniques, imaging and survivorship in neuro oncology. I have published more than 100 manuscripts, secured over $20 million in competitive research funding and contribute to national committees including COGNO, Brain Cancer Australia and TROG.
