About Mark Platt

I was a partner in PwC's BC Region mining practice until June 30, 2021 and I have worked with mining clients for more than 25 years. I became a partner with PwC here in Vancouver in 2005 and have worked almost exclusively with both public and private mining clients since then. I enjoyed working with a variety of mining clients at different stages of development within our large team of mining partners and assurance and tax professionals. Together we delivered high quality service and deep industry knowledge to our mining clients. I have extensive experience working with clients in audit, assurance, mergers and acquisitions and public financings. Through my work on SEC registrant clients, I have gained extensive experience in US/SEC securities filings, US GAAP issues and Sarbanes Oxley 404 (SOX) compliance. As a Director and Treasurer of the Britannia Mine Museum I believe in the education and mining history that this organization brings to our province. I am a former member of the Professional Conduct Enquiry Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia and a past member of the fund raising committee for the Mining for Miracles campaign for the BC Children’s Hospital. I continued with PwC from July 2021 until the end of May 2024 as the BC Region risk management management partner. Recently I joined the board of Mundoro Capital, a junior mining exploration company with projects in Bulgaria, Serbia and Arizona.
