About Mark Podrazik

Our firm, Burns & Associates, Inc, has been acquired by Health Management Associates. My 12 colleagues, including myself, have all joined the HMA team. Our work will continue with our existing clients and hopefully new ones assisting Medicaid agencies and other social services agencies responsible for administering health care programs serving individuals with physical health needs as well as long term care programs for persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD), behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment, the elderly and the physically disabled. Since its founding, B&A has worked with 33 state agencies in 23 states. Personally, I have managed engagements in 14 states. I am currently working on projects such as and substance use disorder (SUD) evaluations, a redesign of an SUD delivery and payment model, developing SUD provider rates and hospital rates, and assistance on crisis service delivery system redesign in three states. Recently concluded 15 years leading annual External Quality Reviews of Medicaid managed care plans in another state.
