About Mark Powell

I am currently working as a front end testing developer, writing automated deployment tests for a manufacturing app. Before this, I was studying for an MSc in data science and prior to that I completed a two year working holiday Visa in Australia, to enjoy a bit of sun. During my masters course I was able to move back into an academic mindset after a few years of working and traveling in Australia. This allowed me to rediscover my love for data and computer programming, first found during my physics undergrad. This culminated in a cutting edge final project that merged the world of 5G communications and machine learning. Having to explore a whole new field in such depth pushed me to apply all the new skilled I had acquired, as well exceptional research skills and quick learning. What I lack in experience, I make up for with an exceptional academic track record and life experience gained through traveling and taking temporary work to pay my way. I am sure that, if given the right opportunity, I would be an asset to any organisation. I work hard and learn quickly and am ready to do what it takes to thrive in this industry when the given the chance.
