About Mark Ranalli

Three decades experience in corporate and entrepreneurial settings, in the electric and gas utility, alternative energy, distributed energy, and enterprise and project development, including twenty years with Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation. A graduate of Purdue University, with Bachelors of Science in Industrial Management. A proven record of achievement in positions that were fast paced and broad in scope; and that required strong communication and interpersonal skills, a personnel management intellect, a customer service orientation, and a creative ability for doing more with less. Prior positions include: Vice President Operations and Business Development for an energy consulting and independent power producer / project development firm; Director of Operations for an unregulated affiliate of Niagara Mohawk Holdings, Inc; Director of Procurement Services for Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation - responsible for the procurement and contract administration activities of company’s largest business unit with engineering and operating departments, including 4,182MW electric generating stations (Coal, Oil, Hydro), managing 57% of business unit’s $346M annual ($186M expense and $160M capital) budget; and, various other management roles at Niagara Mohawk, including Research and Development project management, nuclear plant construction, cost control and regulatory analysis. Board of directors services include Auburn Cayuga Development Corporation and Greening USA. Co-founder of Cayuga Wind Turbines, LLC- an intermediate wind turbine manufacturing and project development enterprise, and Auburn BioDiesel Corporation.
