About Mark Rapa

Mark Rapa, originally a carpenter by training, has worked for boutique residential and commercial builders as well as large companies including Hickory Group (as a Construction Manager) and Structural Systems (as a Site Manager). In these companies, he has overseen individual projects valued at more than $300 million and has worked in the construction industry for more than 25 years.In 2014, Strength Group was formed by Architect, Aditya Kuthalam and Construction Builder, Mark, as the idea that having the Architect and Builder working together makes the whole experience of both designing and building easier for everyone involved. Since commencing the business, the team has now grown to over 25 professionals.Mark formed Strength Structures in 2018 alongside with Co-Founder, Ivan Raic to provide formwork services, with the added benefit of in-house engineering and design and creating a unique ‘one-stop’ service to clients.Prestige projects Mark has worked on include: The Vogue in South Yarra, 568 Collins Street, Melbourne, 50 Albert Street, South Melbourne and Elm Apartments, Melbourne.Mark has extensive qualifications, including a Diploma in Building, Certificate IV in Building and Construction, Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, various construction industry tickets and licenses (e.g. working at heights, confined space, most high-risk plant), and First Aid Level 2. Mark is also a Registered Builder with the Victorian Building Authority.
