About Mark Ratcliff

With a Diploma of Leadership in adult social care from Training Works, I am a Registerer Manager at LAKEVIEW REST HOMES LIMITED, a provider of high-quality care and support for residents with dementia and other complex needs. I have over four years of experience in the care home industry, working with leading organizations such as Maria Mallaband Care Group Ltd. I strive to achieve high standards of quality and compliance, by overseeing a team of staff, managing the budget and resources, and conducting quality audits and reviews. I also aim to enhance the well-being and satisfaction of the residents, by implementing person-centred care plans, engaging them in meaningful activities, and fostering a positive and supportive environment. I am proud to have achieved excellent outcomes, such as reducing staff turnover, increasing occupancy rates, and improving resident feedback. I am currently involved in a collaborative project with Blackpool Teaching Hospital, to see how we can keep residents at home and avoid unnecessary A&E visits. I am passionate about quality, data, and improvements within my own service and the care home sector.
