About Mark Reiman

I have worked in an engineering capacity with the following imaging systems: 1) Silver halide (photographic) 2) Thermal 3) Inkjet 4) Electrophotostatic 5) Offset lithography 6) Digital proofing systems The work these projects entailed was both analytical and subjective image quality analysis and problem solving. Working in concert with marketing requirements, I would work independently or as part of a team putting engineering requirements together. Customer interaction and practical understanding of these imaging systems in the marketplace was a key component of my work. I have utilized the following software applications: 1) Multiple color profiling software packages 2) Adobe Photoshop 3) Adobe InDesign 4) Adobe Acrobat 5) Matlab 6) C++ I have served as assistant project manager, project manager, and have been a group leader to groups as large as 20 direct reports. These management opportunities have been primarily technical in nature but all included working directly with the particular business unit on commercialization, marketing, and roll out issues of the product or service. Specialties: Color imaging systems characterization using ICC profiles. This has entailed characterization, verification, and tuning of the profiles both for color accuracy and perceptually pleasing images. Image quality assessment composed of color, tonescale, and artifacting characterization.
