About Mark Reyman

As an educator, I am dedicated to the development of all individuals, students and teachers alike. I firmly believe that all students can learn when provided with an appropriately structured environment and meaningful learning opportunities. One of my teaching goals is not only to foster an appreciation and a love for reading, but to teach students the necessary strategies and skills that good readers use when creating meaning from text. Another instructional goal of mine is to teach students to become effective communicators through their writing. Through my modeling and scaffolding of the strategies and processes of reading and writing, students engage in authentic learning opportunities that they will practice and hone until these strategies and skills have become automatic behaviors. I strongly desire to teach in a school whose administration and faculty are completely focused on the safety and learning of their students. I wish to work with individuals whose decisions are informed by a sound educational philosophy, evidenced-based teaching strategies, and a desire to help all students reach their learning potentials.
