About Mark Richards

I am a legal officer at the Government Employees Superannuation Board of Western Australia (GESB) which is the default superannuation fund of the Western Australian public sector. Prior to joining GESB I worked for ASIC in their enforcement division and as a litigation lawyer in private practice for over 10 years. I have previously acted for a wide range of private, public sector and corporate clients and have considerable experience acting for clients in relation to almost all aspects of corporate law and commercial litigation, with a particular focus on matters that involve financial services regulation, white collar crime, directors duties and corporate governance, contractual disputes, professional negligence claims relating to financial advisers, building and construction disputes and bankruptcy and insolvency matters. I have previously appeared as counsel and instructing solicitor and before the Supreme Court of Western Australia, District Court of Western Australia, Magistrates Court of Western Australia, Federal Court of Australia, State Administrative Tribunal and the Family Court of Western Australia.
