About Mark Richardson

My working life has been spent in the Construction Industry, starting as a Management Trainee and progressing via a Q.S. route to the position of Commercial Director for the CRH FSG (UK) Ltd Group. My experience has been largely gained working with and for specialist contractors, but after a brief period of self-employment i took the opportunity to experience the Employer's side of the contractual chain with Network Rail in Birmingham. The in-tray has regularly contained the mix of formal contracts (JCT, NEC3) with clients and sub-contractors, final account negotiation and settlements, advice and support to management and bid teams, development of commercial disciplines and training the people. I’ve led a number of Construction Adjudications as both Claimant and Respondent having successfully completed the Diploma and gaining CIArb accreditation. In December 2018 I was pleased to accept an exciting opportunity within Network Rail in the role of Senior Commercial Manager working on the High-Speed2 (HS2) infrastructure project, working with the client on high-profile and high-value agreememts.
