A prolific designer throughout his career, Mark Roddy has designed projects that are widely published and hold more than 60 national and regional design awards. Roddy designs buildings that are sensitive to their environment, both in regards to sustainability and the urban fabric. This has been especially evident in his portfolio of projects in the urban southwest, where regional considerations go well beyond aesthetics and dive deep into building performance. Mark Roddy’s philosophy of sustainable design is best evidenced in DPR Construction’s Regional Office in Phoenix, the first net-zero energy building in Arizona certified by the Living Future Institute and the Chandler City Hall in Chandler, Arizona, an AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE) Top 10 award winner. Mark lends his creative and collaborative talents to design spaces that respond to place and performance. He believes architecture should be expressive and always environmentally responsible, achieving a balance between beauty and function.
