About Mark Rowe

I've devoted the last 10 years to making people's lives better and improving their life chances. I’ve developed a debt and benefits advice service which has supported over residents who are now better off by £25.6m. I redesigned L&Q’s money guidance offer and implemented a new service delivery model which increased the number of residents supported from 650pa to over 3500pa, while improving financial outcomes from £187k to £8.5m pa. In addition to my role as Financial Inclusion Manager, I was responsible for Digital Inclusion, developing projects that helped nearly 500 residents with training, equipment and internet access to get online for the first time. I have nearly 5 years’ experience in Community Investment in the housing sector with L&Q Group and manage the Financial Inclusion Team, which supports residents in need. Before this, I worked for Citizens Advice Bromley managing teams of up to 33 volunteers, providing holistic advice to residents. I am a self-motivated and people focused manager. I’m well organised with strong IT skills and have an NVQ level 3 in Management and I'm a APMP qualified Project Manager (PRINCE2). I take personal responsibility for making sure projects and services run well and continually look for ways to improve processes. In 2015, I won the L&Q ‘Living our Values’ Award for Passion, one of only 5 awards presented at the annual staff conference. Passion for helping people to enhance and improve their lives and alleviating poverty have been my driving forces both at L&Q and as a manager for Citizens Advice.
