About Mark Roy

With over 10 years of experience in the mining industry, I am a skilled and certified site services supervisor and heavy equipment operator. My mission is to ensure the safety, efficiency, and quality of the site operations and maintenance at Impala Canada, a leading producer of palladium and platinum. I am passionate about working with a diverse and collaborative team that strives to achieve excellence and innovation in the field of mining and metallurgy. As the site services supervisor at Impala Canada since February 2020, I oversee and coordinate the activities of the site services department, which includes road maintenance, snow removal, waste management, fuel delivery, and equipment transportation. I also operate various types of heavy equipment, such as loaders, bulldozers, graders, excavators, and rock trucks, to support the site operations and projects. I have a first aid/CPR certification, and I am a common core certified supervisor and heavy equipment operator. I have successfully completed multiple projects and tasks, such as clearing and grading roads, moving and crushing rocks, loading and unloading materials, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
