Mark Ruhindi is a Uganda Tax Lawyer based in Kampala. Ranked as a General Corporate Tax ‘Highly Regarded' Practitioner — ITR World Tax; he is widely recognized as one of East Africa’s leading and most distinguished tax professionals. Mark is also a respected and influential thought leader and commentator on Uganda Tax Law and Fiscal Policy. He regularly contributes expert insights at regional and continental taxation panels, including the Annual Africa Transfer Pricing Summit, where he has shared perspectives on East Africa’s evolving fiscal and investment landscape. He has consistently rendered tax and transfer pricing advice to leading local firms across all key sectors and to Uganda and East Africa bound MNEs and Investors. His expertise spans deal structuring and M&A transaction advisory; corporate tax strategy and structuring; tax controversy and dispute resolution; transfer pricing and international taxation; domestic tax compliance; investment incentives and exemptions under Uganda’s tax regime; and corporate governance. Mark has rendered project advice at the highest level, including to VERTEX, INC. a Nasdaq listed firm(VAT and digital services tax advisory support), AIRTEL Telecom(Uganda IPO listing advisory support), among other multinational and local high-profile engagements. He has also conducted high-level capacity building Tax Trainings for the Honourable Members of Uganda’s Tax Appeals Tribunal(TAT).
