I lead The Children’s Society, an amazing organisation with a bold vision to build a society for all children. Every young person deserves a good childhood. That's why we fight for the hope and happiness of young people when it's threatened by abuse, exploitation and neglect. We see the hope and courage in young people every day, and it inspires us to support them through their most serious life challenges. Now we're stepping up the fight for hope and happiness at a time when its under threat like never before. Our goal and vision are built around the hopes of young people, to achieve long-lasting change for this generation and the ones to comeI’ve been a CEO of social justice charities since 2006, and have significant experience of leading organisations through change. I’m passionately committed to working with diverse and inclusive teams. My background is in community youth work in Northern Ireland and England which roots my leadership experience in real local community action.I’ve been a Trustee of a £140m charity, I’m Vice Chair of Governors of my local high school, an Honorary Canon of Southwark Cathedral and a Fellow of the Royal Society of the ArtsIn my spare time I love to travel, the gym, and if I were ever on Mastermind my specialist subject would be The West Wing!
