About Mark Sanders

I hold two Ph.D. degrees, the first focusing on Modern Poetry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (1989), and the second in Higher Education from the University of Idaho (2013); my dissertation in the first instance focused on W. B. Yeats's poetry and the second on transformative leadership theory. Devoted to life-long learning, I have taken more than 150 post-doctoral hours. My teaching includes high school (three years), colleges, and universities in Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Idaho. I have taught many subjects at the graduate and undergraduate levels, ranging from regional literature to composition, creative writing in fiction, poetry, and nonfiction, research methods, and Modern and Contemporary literature in American and British. I am available for speaking engagements: I have read my own creative writing in numerous locations, and I frequently make presentations of my scholarship. I am available to visit with groups interested in transformative leadership, particularly in such areas of participant buy-in, conflict resolution, and resistance to change within the academic culture.
