About Mark Saunderson

I am an International Tax Partner based in London, with more than 20 years’ experience advising multinational corporations on their tax affairs and with a particular focus on advising US-parented groups on their international tax planning. A member of Deloitte's Foreign Owned Tax Executive, I currently lead Deloitte Foreign Owned Business Tax's relationship with the US Central South Area (Dallas, Houston, Austin and New Orleans), along with having clients headquartered across the US. I have a wealth of experience working with some of the largest companies in the world, advising them on matters including tax structuring, reorganisations, financing, due diligence, withholding tax, treaty analysis and transfer pricing. I have substantial experience of providing focused and innovative tax structuring and planning solutions and have advised on a wide range of corporate reorganisations, third party acquisitions and disposals and cross-border diligence and restructuring work. I have been a regular presenter on Deloitte's DBriefs series of client webcasts and have had several articles published in Tax Journal. On top of this, for the last two years I have had the privilege of being Deloitte’s Learning Partner for our Tax & Legal practice in the UK, overseeing a team that spends all day every day focused on the learning needs of the more than 4,500 people working in this part of Deloitte. This role is absolutely brilliant and it’s great to be able to have such an impact. In addition, earlier in my career I spent two years working in Deloitte's New York office, advising a variety of companies on their UK and international tax affairs whilst embedded in the US marketplace. I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA).
