Throughout my career, the foundation of my contributions as an individual, a community member, an advisor and a leader has been my passion for innovation and operational excellence. I am a best practice advocate with a proven track record of success identifying, innovating and executing improvements, and delivering profitable transformations in operational performance by combining a keen financial analysis acumen with a focus on people, processes, and systems. I know that along with operational enhancements, building a collaborative, diverse team focused on state-of-the-art solutions, continuous process improvements, and best-in-class quality systems assures more efficient and profitable operations. IN MY PREVIOUS ROLE AS PRESIDENT / CEO FOR MIAMI VALLEY HOSPITAL / MIAMI VALLEY HOSPITAL SOUTH, I had the responsibility for guiding all operations for the $1B full service, tertiary care institution with a medical staff of 1,200 physicians, 5,500 employees and 55,651 inpatient admissions/observations. I was involved in nearly every facet of the health services we provided, and as CEO I led numerous efforts to bring outstanding healthcare to our community. I’m very proud of the high level of quality and care we provided which has ultimately earned Healthgrades Top 100 Hospital recognition for two years running. IN OTHER LEADERSHIP ROLES IN OPERATIONS AND QUALITY, I challenged the status quo and was instrumental in introducing the first operational improvement division using Lean and Six Sigma methods to improve operational performance. We created a record of success identifying, innovating and executing improvements, and delivering profitable transformations in operational performance. I am a strategic thinker with a wealth of expertise in the planning, coordination, and execution of multimillion-dollar transactions, unit and facility integrations, and new and existing operational consolidations.
