About Mark Sheldon

Co-founded Pembroke and led the identification of Olive Downs as a world class greenfield steelmaking coal prospect. Established the blueprint for mining and processing operations across the 500 million-plus tonne reserve, including the staged development to 20Mtpa capacity. Responsible for the successful delivery of all aspects of the project’s development from initial exploration, coal quality, construction, mining, processing and key approvals, Mark is a highly experienced and respected executive with decades of sector experience all around Australia. Mark now also leads the expansion of stage 2 of the Olve Downs Complex to 14+ Mtpa. Prior to Pembroke has held a variety of senior operational and leadership roles across mine management, mine contracting, geology, mine planning, manufacturing and processing, metallurgy, and project & construction management.
