He has been involved in resolving complex matters in the course of civil litigation & mediation, resulting in numerous successful outcomes. Mark’s experience prior to becoming a solicitor included working for over 25 years as the director and manager of public and private businesses, associations and charitable foundations in the media, education, finance and community sectors. His background has provided him with solid knowledge and understanding of the legal and practical requirements of his clients. Mark has high-level communication, analytical, mediation and negotiation skills. He is adaptable in difficult situations and is understanding, empathetic and respectful when dealing with clients. Mark also speaks Ukrainian and has extensive experience assisting non-English speaking clients. Outside of work, Mark is engaged in various social, multicultural and community activities, educational charities and not-for-profit organisations. In addition to being a solicitor, Mark is the editor and publisher of the Free Thought newspaper – a Ukrainian newspaper that has been published in Australia since 1949.
