I've seen it from all sides: As a public equity investor, where I cut my teeth covering technology stocks working for Peter Lynch; As an Investment Banker, where I've led more than 50 public and private company debt and equity financing events (ranging from Series B rounds to IPOs to Mergers) in excess of $5 billion; As a member of management, where I've helped grow successful startups. I’m known for developing and implementing effective growth and financing strategies by communicating constructively with founders, senior managers, boards, and investors. I extract clarity from complexity, find order in chaos, and chart a path to successful completion of projects. Clients and colleagues have found my insights helpful in navigating business challenges and volatile financial markets; I naturally develop solutions collaboratively across operating functions, distributed geographies, and cultures. My undergraduate degree at Brown was a dual major in Physics and Classics. My graduate work at MIT built on this, with concentrations in Finance and Technological Innovation. Bridging the intersection of disciplines, functions, and cultures is where I’m at my best. I improve risk-adjusted ROI by leveraging all these analytical skills to fully explore opportunities. I bring a real enthusiasm to exploring and understanding new markets, companies and products. But I firmly reject the notion that you have to always be serious to prove you take something seriously: humor can be illuminating, and finding solutions that work effectively is fun.
