Graduated Magna Cum Laude with MBA from Regis University. Senior real property appraiser and reviewer with 38 years of valuation expertise in minerals, water, timber, commercial, industrial, agricultural, recreational and special use property. Specialized Expertise in using before & after methodology to measure impacts of partial acquisitions and easements using USPAP, and Uniform Appraisal Standards of Federal Land Acquisitions, commonly known as the Yellow Book. One of three National Appraisers that complete technical compliance reviews of appraisals and reviews across all States, Guam, Marianna Islands and Puerto Rico. Previously Chief Appraiser for the Department of Veteran Affairs Construction and Facilities Management, Office of Real Property, where I completed appraisal reviews, improved procedures and processes of appraisals for leasing, acquisition, and conveyances. My 22 years of prior service at the US Forest Service completing and reviewing appraisals of unique property, minerals, and water rights prepared me well as a VA Chief Appraiser and in my current position with NRCS. The US Forest Service leadership experiences as a Regional Appraiser supervising appraisers and in other roles refined my skills in change and risk management. Prior to the Forest Service, supervising and mentoring appraisal staff in my own firm prepared me well for any future challenges in government relating to appraisal compliance.
