About Mark Spence
I completed my PhD in Marketing at the University of Arizona, USA, in 1993. Prior to entering the doctoral program I was Program Manager at Gnostic Concepts, Inc, a market research firm in the Silicon Valley. In 2002 I moved to the beautiful Gold Coast of Australia and joined Bond University where I am a Full Professor. I have served a variety of roles, including Head of Department, Head of the Doctoral Program, and Associate Dean of Research (Bond Business School). I have published widely in peer reviewed journals, including the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Retailing, European Journal of Marketing, Psychology & Marketing, and Industrial Marketing Management. I also consult, assisting firms in writing marketing plans and conducting research (quantitative and qualitative). I am part owner and marketing advisor to BrauerIndustries, a firm specialising in air and water sanitation.
