My career started with Rockwell Collins Aviation located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa as an intern. My responsibilities included doing analyst of the feasibility of manufacturing parts in house or purchasing form various OEM's. Funding for the program was exhausted mid semester, So I was fortunate enough to be hired by a local Electrical Manufactures Representative who represented a variety of electrical manufactures. While at the Joe Bertsch Agency, I was promoted to Outside Sales. I attended many manufacture’s training schools. Killark manufacturing, Pass & Seymour, Littlefuse, Amprobe, Intermatic, Ideal Industries, Lennox, Sprauge Power factor Capacitors. Wiegann, Federal signal, Hubbell Lighting just to name a few. Graybar Electric, Des Moines was a client of mine.They approached me, and I eventually became a member of their team. I was able to grow their Automation business from $0 to nearly 1 million before being promoted to Sales Manager in charge of all sales related efforts, Industrial, Construction and Comm Data. Later, a Schneider Electric District VP’s asked in confidence, if I would be interested in becoming a team member of Sqd. The opportunity provided a career advancement for myself, so I agreed. While at Schneider Electric my product knowledge was expanded to include medium to low voltage switchgear, Power monitoring and quality, medium and low voltage transformers, busway, Mcc’s, Sub stations and load centers, I was able to attend factory training schools on Mcc’s, Medium and low voltage switchgear, Capacitor banks and indivdual capacitors, Medium and Low voltage transformers, load centers, Powerlogic metering, Plc’s, software and networking, Vfd’s and networking, HMI’s and software, Nema and IEC starters, relays, pushbuttons, selector switches, Transfer switches. I’m sure I have missed some but my training an expertise is very extensive. I am very comfortable making cold calls have used Salesforce and Tour de Force CRM software platforms.
