About Mark Symington

I have been in the metal working industry since 2007 starting out as a CNC Machinist. I completed my machinist apprenticeship in 2011 where I went on to serve an additional 4 years working with various turning equipment from single spindle single turret machines to dual spindle dual turret machines. In that role I would set up, run troubleshoot and train others on various tasks related to that jobs' requirements working within tolerances on tricky exotic nickle alloys. In 2016 I began a new venture with a shop in Stoney Creek where I had opportunities to run DMG Mori NZX1500 dual spindle dual turret multi tasking machine along with DMG Mori NTX with 5 axis capabilities. It was at this time I began using Esprit CAM software. In 2018 an opportunity presented itself where I could further hone my skills, as well as be introduced and exposed to new industries and machining techniques. Until January of 2025 I have since worked with NCPerformance Technology where I have had extensive experience showcasing testing,training and implementing Esprit CAM Software across Canada for all facets of machining. From wire EDM, Simple turning, to full 5 axis millturn/milling/Swiss turning applications in both Esprit 20xx and Esprit TNG/Edge. In the new year of 2025 I took an opportunity to join Battlefield International as CNC Automation Engineer where I am able to put my years of experience with Esprit CAM software to the practical test. Every day our team takes strides at improving and automating our workflow and programming techniques to allow for more intelligent desicion making in our processes while applying proven strategies and cutting data.
