About Mark Terry

I am currently teaching as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Communication and Media Studies at York University in Toronto, Canada, and in the Faculty of Arts at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Canada. I am also a Research Fellow with the Young Lives Research Lab. In previous years, I have taught science, humanities, communications, and Canadian history in York's Department of Humanities and at the Lassonde School of Engineering. I have also taught ENVS 4810A: Ecology and Sustainability in Costa Rica, an experiential education program offered at York's eco-campus in Central America. In 2023, Palgrave Macmillan released my new book Speaking Youth to Power: Influencing Climate Policy with the United Nations. In 2022, Rowman and Littlefield published The Emerging Role of Geomedia in the Environmental Humanities, an anthology of research papers co-edited with Michael Hewson. In the Spring of 2020, my book on documentary film remediation was released by academic publisher Palgrave Macmillan: The Geo-Doc: Geomedia, Documentary Film, and Social Change.
