About Mark van Hattem

As a certified CIPP/E, CIPM and CTPP Privacy Professional, I want to help institutions to find a balance between their responsibility for the privacy of their data subjects and staying focused on their main task. The challenge is to combine a certain pragmatism with correct and high ethical and juridicial standards of GDPR compliancy. I'm strong in coaching and educational skills. Furthermore, I love working in teams, learning and sharing, but always keep my independence of mind and integrity. As a historian and museum director, I have led a professional life of learning, education, bearing responsibility and managing teams of professionals and volunteers for more than 25 years. I've managed extensive projects with financial responsibilities as well as managing large collections of data and objects. I'm a critical and analytical thinker, but also builder, always striving for construction, looking for new paths ahead, and always open minded to the opinion of and cooperation with others. I know the value of creativity and self-expression, being a photographer. I have a strong drive and energy, combined with team spirit.
