Text below applied until June 1 2025. Currently unemployed. I am considering a move outside of ICT, and definitely part time employment only. Within ICT my programming days are over, it was never my forte, and the years are starting to count (60+ now). I am better at testing anyway. I am a good team player, have trained a lot of new testers at Mapscape BV. Not sure if I want to start all over though, in BEFORE: Afer many years first as a software developer, afterwards as a test analyst at Hewlett Packard, I started 1 February 2015 as a test engineer at Mapscape, Eindhoven. A highly analytical mind and a strong focus enable me to perform complex tasks. I'm a team player as well - I enjoy helping co-workers and connect quickly. I am thorough and structured - valuable assets in software testing. My English is excellent. In my final assignment at HP I fulfilled the test coordinator role in an large international project. At the start of this assignment both the project and the testing were in a really bad state, with unclear specifications, vague procedures, unwilling participants and shifting deadlines. I was able to get the testing back on track, applying unambigeous templates and very tight testing procedures. This contributed much to bringing the project to a succesful conclusion. I was asked for several follow up projects. In another assignment I was responsible for testing in a SCRUM team that produced changes in monthly sprints for a large Telecom operator. My testing efforts enabled the customer to bring many changes live, in a field where time-to-market is critical. In yet another assigment I created an automated regression test for a large bank. On request I also enabled the automatic creation of urgently needed bulk data, thus saving the customer much time and money. I have achieved the ISTQB Full Advanced level, and am a Certified Agile Tester as well.
