marketing, import/export, logistics management, price risk management - hedging - market analysis, strategic marketing - with a passion for the ocean and everything associated with it - surfing, scuba diving and sailing. With over 25 years in international markets starting in non grain feed ingredients in Amsterdam and freight in Geneva I have brokered or traded everything from wheat and barley through crude oil and products to cotton. The last few years have provided me with the opportunity to develop markets for organic food and feed ingredients.and have had great fun working with suppliers and customers from Europe, North and South America through Asia and the Sub-Continent to Australia. My company - Organic Commodities Pty Ltd, based in Sydney Australia, has experienced gradual growth since 2003 when we exported our first organic macadamia nuts - since then we have expanded into exporting conventional pulses ( mung beans, chickpeas, lupins), wheat, oilseeds and gritting maize. We also import into Australia a range of ancient grains, nuts and food ingredients. Our organic business specialises in working with growers and end users of organic commodities - meeting their needs for marketing services, information and logistics. In October 2012 we incorporated Organic Commodities Pte Ltd in Singapore. The company in Singapore handles third country business. Having lived life dancing on the blade my goals are to enjoy the markets - balance life and work - endeavour for win/win deals where everyone in the value chain makes money- be sustainable and be brilliant where I can be and try and improve on those areas where my emotions get the better of me.
