About Mark Wagner

I am Mark Wagner, an Agronomist at Down to Earth Labs, my goal is to use science and experience to assist farms in reaching their goals and achieve a successful growing season. My motives are not tied to sales, or promoting of a product. I want to work with growers and industry partners, to reach set goals, improve on previous years and to help others with problems that they may face with crops and/or soils that they are unsure of and to help educate where needed. My background has always been focused on the sciences, starting in some Forestry, switching to environmental sciences where I worked with water quality testing and prohibited noxious and noxious weeds, and some post reclamation assessments for 5 years. From there I began working in agricultural research for a couple years, working on plots, with various crops, treatments and management methods. Then I ended up working through my masters degree as a teaching assistant instructing soil labs and also as sampler to get more experience in becoming an Agronomist. From where my duties have expanded from previous experience in which I believe gives a strong foundation to where I am today. My educational background and work experience specifics are outlined in my profile. I have always loved working in the outdoors and my hobbies usually are more outside orientated. My most favorite memorable trip so far has been with my wife and pet cat in our roof top tent on the truck along HWY 101 the California/Oregon/Washington west coast.
